Confidence, discipline and fun for children aged 3 and up — in a safe, friendly, purpose-built dojang.
At Tamworth Martial Arts we've been helping local children grow in confidence for years. Our kids martial arts classes do far more than teach kicks and punches — they build focus, self-discipline, respect and resilience that carry over into school, friendships and home life. Every class is led by qualified, DBS-checked instructors in a structured, encouraging environment where children progress at their own pace.
Our Little Dragons programme is designed specifically for children aged 3–5. Delivered in structured 30-minute sessions, these classes introduce our youngest students to the fundamentals of martial arts through age-appropriate techniques — basic stances, simple kicks, blocks and controlled movement activities — all wrapped up in games that keep them engaged.
It's the perfect first step: developing coordination, listening skills, confidence and the ability to follow instructions, while having lots of fun.

As they progress through the belt grades, children build strength, balance and coordination alongside vital life skills like focus, perseverance and respect.
Structured grading gives every child clear goals to work towards and a real sense of achievement as they earn each new belt.

Teens develop striking, kicking, blocks, joint-locking techniques, traditional forms and more — building the strength, discipline and self-belief that help them thrive on and off the mat.
